Jonathan co-wrote and directed his debut feature, Van Diemen’s Land in 2009. It screened at numerous festivals in Australia and internationally and was met with critical acclaim. In 2011, with collaborator Oscar Redding, Jonathan directed & produced episodes of the comedy web series Cop Hard that screened at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX.

 

In 2013, Jonathan wrote & directed Fog, as part of the compendium feature Tim Winton’s The Turning. Shortly after he produced, alongside Kitty Green & Michael Latham, the AACTA Award winning feature documentary Ukraine Is Not A Brothel that premiered at Venice International Film Festival.
