Shahana Goswami is an Indian actor of critical acclaim based in Mumbai.  After establishing her career in theatre, her film debut was with Naseeruddin Shah's Yun Hota To Kya Hota in 2006.  She received critical acclaim for her roles in Nandita Das's Firaaq and Rock On for which she won numerous awards including Best Actress (Critics) at the Filmfare Awards.

 

Shahana has appeared in many Bollywood films, highlights include  Ra.One with Shahrukh Khan and Heroine.   She subsequently worked on several international films including Deepa Mehta's adaptation of Salman Rushdie's novel, Midnight's Children, Khyentse Norbu’s Vara- A Blessing and Rubaiyat Hossain’s Under Construction which will premiere at the London Asian Film Festival in March 2015.

 

Having studied Odissi for ten years, Shahana is an accomplished Indian Classical dancer.  She has appeared international music videos including Dido's song Let's Do the Things We Normally Do, and performed in the musical Love and All That Jazz for Chivas Studio in 2011.
